Replacing an old worn out press.

I have finally worn out my old rcbs original rockchucker press. Looking for suggestions on a top end single stage press. I mostly reload for long range rifle, and hunting ammo. A small amount of pistol. Looking at an rcbs summit. Any feedback or suggestions are appreciated.

I have a great single stage.... I'd never get rid of it.... almost want to buy another one to keep in case something happened to it.

What do you like so well about it? How is the runout on loaded ammo?

It is a big heavy machine that is fully open in the front. Nothing is in my way when I load.

    It’s smooth. I don’t feel any different loading .375H&H or .22 hornet.

As for runout, I have a concentricity gauge I never use... so while that doesn’t answer your question, I know the quality of my loads based on unloading them.

Yeah, they are $$$$$. If you ever see one in person you’ll get it, even if it’s still too salty.

If I buy a single stage I would get a Forster Coax. They seem to be the cream of the crop for single stages. No shell holders as they have a special jaws that hold the case in place. Downside is that I'm not sure if those jaws fit some of the really large magnum rifle rounds, but if you don't shoot any you should be good.

I just looked it up and they can fit a rim up to 0.562" which is good for a 500 S&W Mag which is the larger than the Ultra Mags. So unless you are loading some really large rimmed Magnums you should be good.

I would love one but I don't think they make them anymore. I have been on the backorder list at midway for over 2 years. If someone knows different, please let me know!

Ouch... their website says they still make them but that they are in high demand still.
